determining factor as to whether they remain or leave after dinner. Choosing the right entertainment can
be perplexing. Allow me to help broaden your knowledge and attempt to answer the most frequently
asked questions about what to look for in a quality entertainment service.
1. Should I choose a band? Let's face it, without bands there would be no recorded music for DJs to
play. However, there are many problems that come with choosing a band. Bands take numerous
breaks and use a lot of space; they usually cannot play a variety of music; and they generally do not
have experience with weddings and are usually twice as expensive as a disc jockeys.
2. Why should I choose a DJ? A Disc Jockey may be the best choice because: They can play a
variety of music; Most take up very little space, do not take breaks, and are less expensive.
The DJ's main emphasis at a wedding reception is to act as the master of ceremonies. This means he
must make the proper announcements and ensure the reception is running in a smooth fashion. They
should work with the photographer and caterers to ensure the wedding reception remains organized.
3. What should I look for in a DJ? Choosing a DJ is a difficult task. There are several fly by night DJ
services. Many DJs use home stereo equipment, have inadequate attire, and have an unprofessional
display. Remember, this is one of the most important events of your life!
